FitFlop and TrimSole

There seems to be a new "FitFlop" on the block.

As a chiropodist I always try and keep up to date with shoe fashions and trends and I did a double take this morning when I saw the advertising material for a new product called the TrimSole. At first sight I thought it was the established company FitFlop bringing out a new design, but no. It is actually a different company, Direct Beauty Products, with their new product, called the Trimsole which to me looks rather similar to the existing FitFlop sandal. Look for yourself. From the photos there seems to be very little difference between them except the FitFlop sandal looks rather better in its finish.

I wonder if the new TrimSole will be as effective as FitFlop sandals in helping foot pain and plantar fasciitis. We will have to see. A lot of the forums at the moment seem to have gushing comments from people who have started to wear their new Trimsoles but we will have to see whether this is company PR advertising.

At the moment the TrimSole are only available in one style in red, black and white, whereas Fitflops have lots of styles and colours. Price: FitFlop sandals are around £35-45 depending on style and TrimSole are £19.95 each or 3 pairs for £49.95

HAVING DISCOVERED FITFLOPS A YEAR AGO, I NOW OWN 10 PAIRS. THE ONLY FLAT SHOPES I HAVE EVER BEEN ABLE TO WEAR WITHOUT ORTHOTICS (AS I SUFFER PLANTAR FASCITIS). HOWEVER IT’S NOT A CHEAP HOBBEY SO I WAS PLEASED TO HEAR ABOUT TRIMSOLE.
WHAT A MISTAKE – POOR IMITATION IS BEING KIND. THEY DON’T HAVE THE COMFORT LEVEL OF FITFLOPS AND OFFER NO PROTECTION AGAINST PLANTAR FASCITIS PAIN. IT’S LIKE GOING TO PRIMARK TO GET IMITATION UGGS – NO SUPPORT IN THE ANKLE, AND GENERAL POOR QUALITY.

  • I have to agree with the above posting! I recently purchased 2 pairs of trimsole and what a mistake! They have absolutely no support for your foot and the sheepskin design long boots are worse than a cheap primark pair! My foot immediately comes out the back of the boot and over the heel – they are rubbish!!!!! DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THESE! Stick to the real things! (I also bought the “Next” version of “rockers” toning boot and they are fab!

I love my trimsoles.I also love my fit flops I have three pair of fitflops andhave just bought a new pair.

I find the trimsoles just as comfortable IF ONLY they wouldnt keep snapping at the toe part,I have snapped two pairs now and my other two new pair I have had for aprox 6 months they are going to snap soon…….

I have just emailed them,I think it is the little metal button that is making the tiny toe strap worn…………

I am glad I didnt pay the full price for them, they were on offer. Good for your feet………Yes!
